Project Description

In 2011, Simmonds & Associates, in collaboration with Linda J. Novy & Associates, was tasked with creating a sustainable multi-family landscape for the seven landscaped acres of Crown Colony Homeowners Association.  A quote from “The Colonist”, Crown Colony’s residents’ newsletter, sums up our work:

“The Mission…

Simmonds/Novy’s mission is to bring the sustainability cycle to Crown Colony.  The sustainability cycle uses plants matched to the natural environment; water needs matched to plants and maintenance practices matched to plant and water needs.  Investment in sustainable appropriate landscape is good land stewardship, which leads to an improved quality of life and sustained property values.

Over the next 10 years, Simmonds/Novy will act as primary consultants and landscape designers tasked with achieving the following goals: Reducing water use; reducing maintenance costs and improving the aesthetic character and quality of life for all Crown Colony’s residents.”
