Project Description

This infinity-edged swimming pool is perched some twenty feet or more in the air. This intimate retreat was built for both adults and kids, and has all the amenities of a resort, including a spa, koi pond, forty foot long pool with swim current and water slide, a wet bar and a cabana. The cabana, accessed by crossing over the koi pond’s rock bridge, has a Nana Wall system that accordians open, providing unobstructed views of the pool and the distant hills. The cabana houses a recreation area with games, a large flat screen TV, shower and bath room, and also serves as a guest house.

We fashioned the landscape and waterslide from faux rock, working with nationally renowned Studio Replica to create natural forms, with excellent attention to detail, down to the lichens on the rock. The rockscape is complimented by Colorado flagstone. To create the tropical theme, mature palms, cycads philodendrons and other tropical plants that have proven hardy in this microclimate were imported and planted among the rock or into large Asian pots, fulfilling our client’s objective to create a tropical resort atmosphere while remaining true to its Northern California location.
